Quarantine caught me in a weird place. My confinement was one of the loneliest times of my life.
Yet, being alone was often the one thing I craved the most.

One of the most difficult things about deciding to migrate was saying goodbye to my grandparents.
During the pandemic, my worst nightmare came true: both my grandfathers passed away in Brazil,
and I was unable to say goodbye or be with my family.
